The Bolling Wilson Hotel & Restaurant

The Bolling Wilson Hotel, Wytheville’s newest hotel, is named to honor First Lady Mrs. Wilson. The original 1927 hotel is newly renovated as a boutique hotel located at 170 E. Main Street in historic downtown Wytheville, Virginia. The Bolling Wilson Hotel is located directly across the street from the Edith Bolling Wilson Birthplace Museum and Bolling Home.

The Bolling Wilson Hotel is themed around the life of Edith Bolling Wilson and shares her journey, “From Wytheville to the White House”. Mrs. Wilson was such a fun and interesting woman in history; one known for her love of orchids, fondness of good bourbon, and her love-hate relationship with her grandmother’s 26 canaries. The First Lady was a ‘First’ in many other ways during the Wilson Presidency. The hotel tells her incredibly important and somewhat controversial story in a fresh and fun way through the hotel experience.

The hotel features 30 guest rooms; event space to accommodate 150 guests, a restaurant, GRAZE on Main,  featuring “New Southern” cuisine; outdoor dining; and a rooftop patio, The Perch, that provides a 360 degree view of the mountains. The Bolling Wilson Hotel sits in the historic downtown walking district of Wytheville with its locally owned shops and restaurants at the junction of I-81 and I-77. The hotel shares the history of this area with an authentic yet modern twist.

The hotel is a member of the Ascend Collection of Choice Hotels and is listed as a contributing building on the National Register of Historic Places.
